This personal project began early in 2018, as a way to create a new “face” campaign celebrating the every day woman. Some of these images were taken during portrait sessions, but some were taken specifically for this project.

The series showcased womxn of all ages, all backgrounds and all sizes in timeless black and white images. Some friends, some clients (some both!) were photographed in a studio setting with a simple, one light set-up. Each participant shared their age and occupation at the time the portrait was taken as well as their own words on what being a woman means to them. These words range from stories to advice to quotes, and entirely up to the participant.

These images are meant to inspire, encourage and empower. Even the slightest change towards a more positive self-perception will be a mark of success in my book.

The project is currently on hold for book and gallery show development.
